I learned my lesson about 5 years ago.
That lesson was “don’t be stupid when tweaking your computer”.
5 years ago was the last time I made some changes to a laptop that really screwed it up.
The next laptop I bought I decided to also buy a warranty to protect my laptop from myself.
What happened instead was I stopped all the tweaks and have stuck with a couple of programs to keep my computers clean.
CCleaner is a free program that i have used for years and installed on all of our computers.
I run it 6 or 7 times a week on my computer and about once a week on my wife’s laptop.
Kim Komando recently promoted it again in her weekend newsletter.
Here’s the link on FileHippo that I recommend.
Oh and what does the “C” in CCleaner stand for?
It could stand for Computer.
But in the early days, the program was called CrapCleaner.
CCleaner is a great utility. I execute it regularly on all our PCs also.
Glad to know I’m not the only one!
