In the streamlining and focusing of my life, I’ve come up with a few things I really don’t care about.

Some of these I used to care about, some were interesting but a distraction.

Others I never latched onto.

Perhaps if I was in a different profession.

But my role in life these days is to help businesses connect with customers.

Invite people to do business with you (or they won’t) is my mantra these days.

I work with a couple of the most listened to radio stations in Fort Wayne Indiana.

I sell radio advertising.  I design advertising and marketing campaigns using the resources of our radio stations.

When it comes to doing this and helping a business be successful, I’m better than most.

I’ve spent over 2 decades in the radio business working with hundreds of business owners.

Are you in the Fort Wayne Indiana area?  Call me: 260-255-4357.  Those last 4 numbers spell the word HELP, because that’s what I am here to do.

But back to that list of stuff I don’t care about:

  1. Klout.  My score or yours.
  2. Google+. For me, I haven’t had a need or reason to be active on another social network. Despite the fact that Google is betting the farm on G+ and integrating a lot of their stuff with Google +; I’m not convinced that for me, I need to be active
  3. ANY and ALL Facebook Games. I have to amend this.  I have discovered the You Don’t Know Jack game.
  4. Nearly any celebrity news.  Let them marry, divorce, join a cult, and speak out politically.  I choose to ignore.
  5. Stubborn, self-destructive people.  Oh, I care at first, but after awhile, I care from afar.
  6. Most Reality TV Shows.  You can enjoy them if you want.
  7. Movie premieres.  Give me a nearly empty theater or the DVD to watch while lying in bed barefoot.
  8. How to get more Followers, Likes, Connections or Fans on Social Media.  I have too many.  I am in the process of weeding out some of those connections on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.  I prefer genuineness over volume.
  9. How much money you make. As long as you are doing it legally.
  10. Arguing about political beliefs.  Unless someone is open to consider other ideas and most people I know aren’t.
  11. The color of the grass in my yard.  Considering the drought we were having this year, I  enjoyed mowing my yard every 6 weeks instead of twice a week. Not that I did it twice a week.  Usually once a week.
  12. Drinking alcohol.  I’ve seen too many lives get screwed up due to booze, drugs, smoking. Give me a diet drink, a white mocha, or ice water and I’ll be happy.

A dozen random things I don’t care about right now.  As I said at the beginning, I have more important things to do with my time professionally and there’s plenty of things personally too with my family to care about that list I just created.
