Politics & Religion.

Election day is tomorrow.

Here’s something I wrote last December about faith that can also apply to the political world.

I’ll let you do the word substitutions:

If there’s one thing I learned over the years, it is nearly impossible to change someones opinion by arguing with them.

Well, let me amend that.

The most likely result of arguing with someone is to change their opinion… of you.  And not for the better.

We are just a few days away from celebrating Christmas, a holiday I’ve observed all of my 52 years.

And while most Christian denominations believe that unless you believe in Jesus as the Christ, you are going to hell instead of heaven, that’s not the best way to convince non-believers to convert.

Instead I urge you, if you are a Christian to demonstrate a loving Christian example.

If you are not a Christian, then I ask you to respect the beliefs of others, just as Christians need to do to.

We will all benefit by sharing respect and building relationship, now and in the years ahead.
