Over the weekend I was talking to my daughter Tiffany about what she would like for her birthday.  She’s going to be 26 in a couple of days and like her parents, she loves to read.

Unlike her parents, she would plow through books the way some people plow through a stack of pancakes.

I was expecting to get her an Amazon gift certificate, but had the nagging feeling that there might be something else she would like instead as this is her first year as a new Mom and her reading may have slowed down.

I was right.  Tiffany has a few unread books in her house that her husband bought her, so this week her gift is a Starbucks card.

Reading is something all of us do.  Most of our online activity involves reading.  Yet there is something special about “Long-form Reading”.

“Long-Form Reading” is a term I just made up to describe reading books.

I don’t care if it’s a hard cover, paperback, or an eBook, it takes a special discipline to read from start to finish a complete book.

Today I am starting over again with my book reading habit.  I’ve selected a book that I have read a couple of times, and it’s time to read it again.  I’m not telling you what it is until I finish it, but in 2 to 4 weeks, when I am done, I’ll share and then pick up another one.

What’s the last book you read from cover to cover and how long has it been?
