It’s one of those Holiday Weekends that bookmark summer. Memorial Day weekend is the “traditional” start of summer with Labor Day weekend being the “traditional” end of summer.
Many folks check out early on Fridays to extend their 3 days off and I’ve discovered that several people I was planning to talk with took the entire day off. Good for them.
Several professions get to take time off on the weekends and 3 day weekends are like a mini-vacation. Others in the retail or service businesses work no matter what the calendar says.
My simple wish for you is that you and your loved ones are safe and enjoy the weekend. If there are Memorial Day activities going on in your town, take part. Watch the parade and fly your American Flag proudly. Take some time to understand what Memorial Day is about and be thankful.
