I Can’t Write a Blog

I Can’t Write a Blog

It’s a common excuse for people who don’t have a blog.

And it’s a stupid excuse.

Smacked you right across the face with that one, didn’t I.

Write what ever you want to write:

  1. Stuff you like
  2. Stuff you don’t like
  3. Stuff you care about
  4. Stuff you don’t care about

Now wait a moment.

Why would I write about stuff I don’t care about?

Just to get in the habit of writing and posting on a regular basis.

You and your life are more interesting than you think.

And this is fun.  Check out the self-proclaimed Dullest Blog in the World.

The ScLoHo Review

The ScLoHo Review

Just a heads up and thank you.

I’ve been posting stuff online in the form of a blog since 2003 or 2004.

Actually I began in 2003 and stopped then began in earnest the next year.

1 blog grew to 2, which grew to 3, then 4 and I was posting 46 updates a week.

And this was just a sideline.

A form of self expression, of sharing with others and an experiment too.

After talking with my friend and now co-worker Kevin Mullett, I decided this summer to launch a new site and reorganize all this online stuff.

As the best websites have become living, breathing content hubs, they have adopted many of the elements that make a blog successful, that being fresh content.

So, I bought another domain, this time using my name, Scott Howard instead of my shortened online persona, ScLoHo.

The .com version belongs to a California Real Estate Agent, and other versions were also being used so I bought ScottHoward.me and started building this website.

Instead of updates 7 days a week, I decided to pare down to 5 days a week, with 26 weekly updates.

After plenty of learning and frustration and revising and rebuilding, etc. I set a deadline of October 3rd, 2011 as a launch date and now 5 weeks have passed which means the first 100+ stories and articles have been posted.

Feel free to review any of them by clicking on the tabs at the top of this page.

I appreciate your comments both here and via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and email.

As the weeks and months go by, I’ll be making modifications to try and improve the layout, design, and navigation.

Have fun and more updates Monday…
