Is It Time To Stop Following A Few Tweeps?
I admit that it’s fun to see more and more people following you on Twitter.
But just building numbers isn’t the best goal for Twitter or most forms of Social Media in my opinion.
At the last Fort Wayne Social Media Breakfast, the discussion went from “Content is King” to “Conversation is King”.
A few days later I was using a tool http://manageflitter.com and started going thru the 347 people how I follow that had not tweeted in at least 4 weeks and dropped a bunch of them.
347 might seem like a lot, but it’s about 14% of the number I follow and I checked out each of those 347 Twitter profiles to decide which ones I wanted to keep anyway.
Like I mentioned, I want to follow people who say something, Conversation is King.
What about you?
