You have a choice to make.

Do you want to become known or remain hidden?

Since I work in media and marketing, specifically working in the radio advertising world in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I needed to build name recognition.

The old school of doing this was to do as many face to face and networking opportunities as possible which I did when I returned to this world 11 years ago and needing to get established.

I still do that, however I also built an online presence before Twitter, Facebook, and all the other social media platforms were big.  I did that by starting a couple of blogs using Google’s Blogger platform.

I used the name ScLoHo and those two worlds developed in parallel universes until they began to overlap.  Then it was time to merge the two and I launched this website.

What about you?  Are you more concerned with being private & hidden or publicity and being found?  You can’t have both.

You can decide what you want to make public and unless you have something to hide, I recommend the public option.

The friendships that are not limited by distance can add a dimension to your life that may surprise you.  The opportunities that may come your way are unknown until they appear.  The conversations you participate in will become richer.

It’s the relationship factor.

Nearly everyday, I am connecting with people in person or online in ways that were not possible 15 years ago.  And you can too.

If you need help in all of this, let me know.

And if you are looking for help for your business, I can help with that too.  Contact me and let’s talk.
