I have been a fan of Tim Miles for awhile.  He is a Wizard of Ads Partner kinda guy, (ask him to explain) and I’ve been connected to him on social media and email and what not.

Over the years Tim has grown his little company by bringing on some quality folks and and also hiring family.

That can be a dangerous combination.  Quality people can be temperamental and self righteous (think EGO).  And Family, gee, they know you, you know them, you gotta work things out and it can get messy.

Somehow Tim has it all under control.

In 2014 I noticed he stepped up his game.  I’m not sure if he was doing everything previously, but I started paying more attention this year.  One thing he does is publish a blog post every single day and sends it out via email.  Tim is smart in that he is not personally writing each post, he has it divided up between himself and his team.

Last month Miles and Company decided to push themselves out into the public a bit more and asked all of their readers to help them share their stuff to boost their newsletter subscribers. They had a contest where if you shared their Daily Blur newsletter/blog post, you would be entered to win.

Win what?

Some of Tim’s favorite books on writing, Some really cool Sharpies and coffee.

I was already sharing his stuff on Twitter and so I shared during the contest and low and behold, I was one of 3 winners that were selected. I got a heads up from Tim via a direct message on Twitter and on Black Friday the mailman left a very unique package at my front door.

Winning these goodies is fun, thanks Tim!

But what I really want to encourage you to do is reach out to Miles and Company if you need help marketing your company.  Or help getting your advertising message put together. Or help picking out a place to eat in Columbia, Missouri.

Here’s why.

The more I read Tim’s approach the more I agree.  His order of doing things is nearly identical to what I preach and attempt with my clients.

You can win with Miles & Company too.
