Sunday morning I was sitting in my usual chair at the Firefly coffee shop and glanced up and saw this young lady with bright blue hair:
A friend made a comment about how unnatural her hair looked and I thought that was an understatement.
Most of us have a combination of wanting to fit in and wanting to stand out.
Some of us also have dress code or appearance standards set by our professions.
lf I wear to wear a white lab coat and hang a stethoscope around my neck, I would command a level of respect as I walked around a hospital.
But I’m not a doctor and my radio co-workers would think its weird and even inappropriate for my profession.
I’ve had male co-workers with ponytails, I’ve had a beard since I was in my teens, but never have I had the desire for bright blue hair.
What ever works….
